I had the opportunity to use premier pro recently to try titling a film. The video here has the video produced. While I only messed with the simple parts, I have a feel towards the titling and will help in the main task. I also had another opportunity to practice editing in this task, inserting images and videos into the piece. This may be useful in the main task if videos want to be overlapped for certain shot types.

Preliminary task
In the preliminary task, I need to make a short film of a character walking down a corridor, walking through a door, and speaking with another character. This must also include a shot/reverse shot, use the 180 degree rule and uses match on action.
To perform this task, I will be working in a group of three people. We will work together, and utilise the equipment supplied by the school to achieve this. There are other softwares we have access to, such as Premier Pro.
Shot/reverse shot will be done when the characters are sitting across from each other. It is important that the 180 degree rule isn't broken as it wouldn't appear the characters are across from each other. This rule makes it so the camera does not move more than 180 degrees from each shot of two characters speaking.Match on action is a form of continuity editing. This is used to make a scene seem all set in one scene. This is done by actors wearing the same clothing, same sort of hairstyle, and facial hair style. This is an illusion created to make the viewer believe it was all make set in one time.
In this piece, I have included the original storyboard of our production. This is subject to change over time, and is not final.Updates will be shown in the future, perhaps footage recorded and edits. The final product is due the 17th of October, an analysis of it due the week after.

Camera Shots.
Today was rather interesting, I was given the task of using a camera; something I haven't really done before. Well, I have, but not using the equipment that was on offer, such as the quality cameras, tripods and even a Gorilla pod. I immediately wished to try out all I could, and managed to take some different shot types with a partner.
The experience was interesting, but quite satisfying. I may look relatively serious in the photos I'm in, but I enjoyed the experience, and cannot wait to do it again.

The Establishing shot here shows the scene in which the text is set. The trees before the school make the scene more eerie.
This long shot shows me in the area, and the scene around, including others in the background and other objects.
This high angle shot makes me,(the character) look small and innocent.
This extreme close up shows the face of the character, while the background gives the sense that the character is potentially fearing the worst, especially as it is coming towards the character.
These shots show the character in a predicament, and give an idea of the scene by taking multiple shots of the character from different angles.

Starting my blog.
Welcome to this blog and I hope you will stick around.
I have always enjoyed the idea of media and wish to learn more, even while in primary school using a simple camera to make videos. I may have not looked into television as much as I would think is necessary for the course, I will happily start again to improve my potential grades.
I spend a lot of my time watching YouTube, and enjoy the content that people put out. I have tried it myself, and am ok with the content I have produced. It also allows me to understand what they do because, while I may not want to do it full-time, it is something that allows me to relax and enjoy. I understand it may not be easy, but I have always enjoyed putting out content to viewers; even if it is not to many.
I look forward to using and utilising the equipment and software that is available to me to record my Thriller introduction/trailer. In a sense, I also look forward to editing to see the challenging side to the course and hopefully experiment the ways I can accomplish the seemingly difficult areas of Media.
I enjoy what has been presented to me at this point, being my third lesson by this point, and wish to continue very much so.
I hope you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I am writing it. I have wished to do something like this for a while now, and glad that Media has given me this opportunity.
